Richard is an experienced Consultant who has also 8 years experience working in the welfare sector for both Jobcentre plus and Working Links. As a Recruitment consultant for Working Links, Richard was responsible for dealing with the hardest to place clients (jobseekers on the new Deal program) who had been through the atypical route of job searching (3 month intensive job search program) but been unsuccessful in securing employment. His role was to work with these clients who clearly needed more support and training.
At the start of this 3 month process an action plan was agreed with each client to identify/discuss their strengths and areas that required improvement; following which they were places on a tailored training programme to help develop the areas of weakness identified. The training programmes were carefully selected to ensure clients gained the necessary skills required to realistically seek employment in the industries agreed on in the action plan.
On completion of the training programme, clients were then referred back to him to continue a more detailed and person specific job search. In this role, Richard successfully placed over 300 clients into sustained employment and gained phenomenal skills and experience which he has been able to transfer to his role within Blueprint. His ability in dealing with hard to place clients and training programs have proved extremely valuable in assisting us achieve our outcomes. Richard also has a background in sales, working for companies such as BT, While working as a BT Account Manager he managed over 100 corporate clients some of which included Tefal UK, the Duke of Edinburgh Award and Seiko UK Ltd and was responsible for motivating and communicating information to a virtual team of engineers and specialists.
